Having completed a degree in midwifery at the University of Greenwich and Dartford and Gravesend Hospital Trust in 1999, I worked for the NHS both in hospital and the community for seven years.  I gained experience in homebirth, waterbirth and antenatal education as well as more high risk pregnancies.
 

In October 2006 I established Growing Together to give parents the opportunity to spend extra time with an experienced midwife.  I hoped that this would allow them a chance to discuss their anxieties and choices for labour, birth and parenthood and to learn powerful techniques such as self hypnosis for labour and baby massage.  
 

I believe that pregnancy should be a time of anticipation and excitement and that this is achieved when parents feel adequately prepared and supported.  I have been privileged to support hundreds of families through their transition to parenthood and feel that quality antenatal and postnatal information is essential for good birth experiences and happy, healthy parents and babies.
